Overview
Two Birds & One Stone opened their doors in 2020, right when the UK was in lockdown. The owners faced the challenge of launching a hospitality business without the ability to have dine-in customers. We tackled this challenge by creating a digital-first brand experience that would connect them to the local community and stand out in Manchester’s competitive hospitality scene. The unique and bold visual identity we designed made Two Birds instantly recognisable online and offline. I've been the design partner for Two Birds since they opened their doors in 2020, including a website redesign in 2025. Our process began with aligning on business goals, a brand vision and clear success measures to ensure the designs would actively solve any business challenges. Since the original site launch in 2020, we've used Google Analytics data to learn that 90% of visitors were on thier mobile phones, so the 2025 website was designed with a mobile-first approach to make accessing the menu and getting in touch frictionless.
The owners have repeatedly mentioned the staff time saved by eliminating menu questions and calls due to an easy to navigate online menu. Since launch, take-out demand has steadily increased to the point that Two Birds has expanded onto Deliveroo to accommodate take-out demand.
