Overview
Two Birds & One Stone opened their doors in 2020, right when the UK was in lockdown. The idea of a space filled with customers was suddenly out of reach. Instead, the owners faced the challenge of launching a hospitality business without the ability to have dine-in customers. We tackled this challenge by creating a digital-first brand experience that would connect them to the local community, make ordering seamless and stand out in Manchester’s competitive hospitality scene.
The mobile-first design was created to directly serve business goals and encourage conversion. The unique and bold visual identity we created made Two Birds instantly recognisable both online and offline. By completeing both the brand, website design and website build, this allowed us to work at speed without sacrificing quality. I've been the design partner for Two Birds since they opened their doors in 2020, including a website redesign in 2025. Since the launch of the website, Two Birds averages 20,000+ search impressions per month and 2,000 average click-throughs due to our optimisation services. The owners have repeatedly mentioned the staff time saved by eliminating menu questions and calls due to an easy to navigate online menu.
Since launch, take-out demand has steadily increased to the point that we are currently in the process of adding an online booking system to the website. Two Birds has also been able to expand onto Deliveroo to accommodate take-out demand.
